Sofia's First Two Weeks

I love having a little baby to cuddle and care for.  I'm so happy to be home with Linnea and Sofia.  I've been waiting all year to just be a mommy and put all my energy into caring for Linnea and Sofia.  I really couldn't be happier!
So far, Sofia is a wonderful, content little baby.  She has yet to put up a fuss about anything.  Because she is still a newborn, most of her day is sleeping, but in the past couple days she has been awake more.  At first Nathan and I thought she looked just like Linnea did when she was a baby, but we're beginning to see her own look.  She already looks bigger than when she was born.  I took this breastfeeding support class to get some tips on how to make it hurt less at Birth and Beyond on Capital Hill.  I sat in a room of women all with little newborns nursing Sofia and getting help from an RN.  We weighed our babes before and after feeding them.  Sofia took in a whopin' 3 1/2 ounces! No wonder she's growing so fast!  She's just over 7 1/2 lbs, up from 6 1/2 when we left the hospital.
Sofia eats every 2-3 hours, so my life is now a cycle of eating and sleeping.  Sofia has slept 3-4 hour stretches at night, so I'm getting some sleep.  She's getting faster at eating too.
Thanks to Sylvia, mom, Mikki and Hailey I have had some time alone with Sofia.  While Linnea plays with family I've been able to get some naps in.  Linnea is transitioning well into being a big sister.  She asks to hold Sofia and helps me. We're off to a great start.

Four kids under 4! We've been busy!
