Happy 1st Birthday Sofia!

Sofia turned ONE on May 10th :) Amazing how a year goes by so quickly.  I keep having these flash backs to what we were doing a year ago.  Just today I took the girls to the zoo and noticed a spot that Linnea, Sofia and I stopped to have lunch when Sofia was a few weeks old.  It was a pretty, shady spot on a park bench near the African Village.  I was much better at nursing in public than with Linnea and had a cute floral cover to go over Sofia.  I remember feeling so happy sitting there with my two girls.  Now at the zoo, Sofia is pointing at animals, wants to walk and play and is feeding herself lunch!  I love love love being her mom.  Happy Birthday, Sofia!

Words: uh oh, ma ma, da da, nose (ose), eyes, yes (es), Isaac (no really, we heard her say it!)

Signs and Gestures: please, no nod, yes nod, all down sign, can point to nose, eyes, mouth, bellybutton and ears

Movement: Lots of it! She can now walk a number of steps on her own, climbs stairs, climbs chairs, goes down the slide and loves it, squeals in the baby swing, pulls up on furniture

Looks and Stats: Looking more and more like Nathan, cute blonde curls coming in, blue eyes, 30 inches (62%), 20.5 pounds (40%), so cute!

Food Likes: blueberries, apples, strawberries, green beans, avocada, cheese, carrots, broccoli, bananas, fish, bread, yogart, oatmeal- She's my fruit eater!

Skills: Turns on and off the TV (no, Sofia!), points to things, opens drawers (yikes), slide down the stairs on her tummy, get on and off Linnea's bed, "read" books

We love you, Sofia.  You are so special to us and we're proud of you. Love Mommy and Daddy
