The rain is back so soon! I wish that summer would hold on just a little bit longer. Over the weekend, Nathan and I made the most of our last days of summer. On Friday, we ate amazing pork sandwiches from this Cuban restaurant on Shilshoal Bay. We took them over to Golden Gardens to eat picnic style. Tons of people were out picnicking, BBQing and playing. We even saw a seal pup in a roped off area so that it would be safe. There is a new huge playground that I plan to take Linnea to soon. On Saturday we went to the
Bite of Broadview, an impressive, fairlike event at Christ the King Church's parking lot and side streets. I read that
Casper Babypants would be there and I LOVE his silly kids music. Nathan and I don't mind listening because the songs are catchy, with creative, quirky lyrics. He was great live! There was little kids jumping and dancing all around. It was just him and his guitar. Nathan finds it very cool that Casper Babypants was actually the lead singer from the band Presidents of the United States of America. Really Cool! He gave up his "adult music" career to write and perform kids music. We ate pizza, Linnea did a kiddy ride and we walked home. What fun! We spent the rest of the weekend working on our hideous yard. It's gotten embarrassing with all the weeds and tall patchy grass and moss. We are pulling it all out to put in new grass and hope to get a playset for the girls. Stay tuned...
