I felt proud of myself for doing the trip by myself. I even had to put air in the tires and figured out there was a nail in one of them. We did a day trip to Raymond and got the tire quickly fixed at Dilk Tire. Friendly people! I thought I may be scared at night, but it didn't even cross my mind. We all slept great!
This peaceful trip was just what I needed. I didn't realize how much I needed to fill my tank up. Here's what did the job...
singing with Linnea in the car to Air One 88.1
praying often for my friends and family
sitting in the sunshine on a log
watching the girls play in the sand
no schedule
fresh sea air
55 degrees and sunny for 3 days in a row
visiting with the sweet neighbor, Brenda
reading Carry On, Warrior by Glennon Doyle Melton
snuggling on the couch with the girls
really playing with the girls, uninterrupted
taking photos of the girls
watching Mama Mia after the girls' bedtime
sleeping until 8:30
drinking coffee slowly
smiling
completing a Car puzzle with Linnea
watching deer in the yard
spotting a brown owl fly through the trees
waving at friendly locals as they drive by
listening to and talking with the girls
watching Linnea improve her biking skills
We love Tokeland and can't wait to go back soon!
Getting ready Costco trip

New Lookout Tower in Westport
