Spring Break Trip to Tokeland

"Who's going to be there, Mommy," questioned Linnea. "Just us! Daddy's working. Auntie's working. Isaac and Eli have school. Grandma's arm is hurt and Grandpa's taking care of her."  Mom is recovering from a dramatic arm surgery, so she needs to stay put for awhile.  So we ventured off on our first "girl" trip.  Linnea told me on the way to Tokeland, "I wish it was a boy and girl trip so Daddy could come too."  Were they worried to be stuck with me that whole time?  Well we wouldn't be eating as well without Nathan.  But we did bring some yummy snacks that have been scaled way back in our house for a while including chips, cookies and cheese :)

I felt proud of myself for doing the trip by myself.  I even had to put air in the tires and figured out there was a nail in one of them.  We did a day trip to Raymond and got the tire quickly fixed at Dilk Tire.  Friendly people!  I thought I may be scared at night, but it didn't even cross my mind.  We all slept great!

This peaceful trip was just what I needed.  I didn't realize how much I needed to fill my tank up.  Here's what did the job...
