Sofia is 6 Months Old

We are so amazed at how much Sofia has grown and changed in the past 6 months.  At six months, she is in full time explore mode. She is offically crawling, so I have to start keeping the gates closed around the house and keep little things off the floor which is much harder with a toddler around. In the girls' room she mananged to get herself under her crib to reach something.  Linnea crawled in after her and you could hear them giggling together.  The nice thing about crawling is that it gives her a lot more to do.  She's been wanting me to hold her all the time, but now she's very entertained by trying to get to something she sees.  Linnea has taken it upon herself to take everything away from her because, "Sofia can't have that!" 

Three other exciting things in Sofia's life are 1) she's sleeping really well at night and at naps, 2) she's started eating and enjoying baby food and 3) little teeth have just surfaced on her gums.  Last night she slept the whole night without waking.  Finger crossed that it's not a fluke!  And, the night before she was able to soothe herself back to sleep after a few minutes of fussing.  Hooray!

I was able to take Sofia to her 6 month doctor appointment by herself because Linnea played at Ali's house.  It was a lot easier to just have Sofia, since Linnea requires a lot of attention.  Sofia is just under 16 lbs (50%) and 27 " (90%).  She has the cutest chubby legs rolls!  She looks so healthy.

We had some family photos taken by Hailey's friend Jenn.  We had a lot of fun playing in the leaves and enjoying the beautiful day.  The girls photos turned out great.  We'll be sending out the family photo for Christmas, so stayed tuned.  If you like the photos, Jenn is a wonderful, personable photographer.  She was great with the kids.
