Zoo Trip with Lorelle

Lorelle is such a sweet friend. She eagerly came to visit us and nearly begged me to carry Sofia around in the carrier at the zoo.  It was a nice break for to have both hands free to keep an eye on Linnea.  I didn't do a very good job of that at the bear exhibit.  In the crowded observatory, full of middle school teens, I was taking cute photos of Lorelle and the otters.  Linnea had become bored of that and decided to move on to the next thing without us.  We caught up to her just outside the obseratory. Phew!  She's fast and hard to see among a crowd.  We managed to be at the zoo for over 2 hours and barely saw anything because Linnea was walking. She is often more interested in looking at the people and to my dismay picking up food off the ground.  It takes quite a long time to move from one exhibit to the next.  Since Lorelle was with us, I could feed Sofia while they went off to see the Elephants.  As always, we had a wonderful time being with Lorelle.  Days before she came, Linnea was asking "Where your friend, Mommy?"  She is always very interested in where people are.  For now, Lorelle's name is "Friend".  Friend Lorelle, thanks for coming and the cute clothes for the girls!
