Seven Weeks Old

Sofia, it is a joy being your mommy!  I can't believe how much you've grown already.  You're getting adorable chubby cheeks and are filling out.  You don't fit new born clothes anymore and can wear 3 month size adorable clothes people have given you.  In the past seven weeks we've been getting to know each other.  So for I've learned that you need to grunt and squeak a bit before you fall asleep.  You like to turn your head to the side when you sleep.  You like to be swaddled up.  It calms you down and you sleep better.  You already like your sister and stare at her wide-eyed when she gets up in your face.  You already seem to be patient with her.  She is so excited to do more with you, like play outside, color, eat real food and read books.  Just today, Linnea was asking to take a bath with you.  I told her she'll have to wait until you can sit on your own.  You smell amazing and feel so warm and cozy when I hold you.  Your eyes widen when you hear your daddy talk and sing.  You don't like the swing because every time I try to put you there you cry after a minute or two.  You do like to lay on the floor and look around.  You even will lay on your tummy without complainig for up to 10 minutes.  It is so special I get to feed you.  You are a great eater and haven't had any troubles with your tummy.  You wake up once a night to eat, but have been sleeping longer at night then when you were just a few weeks old.  Last night you slept over 5 hours before waking up.  Thank you!  You are on your way to being a great sleeper like your sister.  Your personality appears to be content, patient and layed-back because you are easily comforted, don't cry much and look happy.  We can tell you love us too, because you having been smiling back at us for a week now.  We get so excited to see you smile at us.  You're beautiful!  You do assert yourself when you are hungry, uncomfortable or have a messy diaper.  You let us know you need us.  You are an amazing little girl.  We love you so much!
