Hooray for 2011!

2011 started with a miracle...  Hailey and the boys had stayed over night on New Year's Eve and all 3 kids were sleeping over in Linnea's room.  Normally one of them would wake up early and then wake us all up too.  To our delight all 3 youngsters slept until 8!!!  This has never happened before.  We knew then that 2011 was going to be a great year!  I also know it's going to be a great year because I finally have my wonderful husband back.  Nathan finished his 3 1/2 years of studying, driving to class and being stressed out because of law school.  I had forgotten what a blessing it is to have a husband that cooks.  In the past week, I have eaten, not 1, but 3 home-cooked meals courtesy of my rested, happy man.  Linnea is thrilled too.  She gets to play, read and sing with Nathan.  She loves being tucked in at night with both of us there and even sings along to Nathan's "Thy Little Ones" hymn and "You Are My Sunshine."  Another reason 2011 is going to be so great is we're having another baby girl around May 5th!  I was very shocked when the ultrasound technician revealed it to me because I was so sure she was a he.  It took me several hours to get over the shock.  At 2 a.m. I woke up and realized how amazing it was that Linnea would have a sister and all the wonderful things I would get to do with my 2nd daughter.  I couldn't go back to sleep.  I'm thrilled she's a she!  Here's to 2011 and all the blessing God has in store for us.
