Buddy

 Hello dear daughters,

Buddy! He's the best dog in the world and deserves his own post!  Remember when we drove 7 hours to Davenport, actually 1 hour north of Davenport, to get our little guy?  The closer we got, them more worried I was that he wasn't a Westie, but was in fact a turtle or a goat ;).  Poor guy! He was yellow, smelly and had such long nails.  Oh, and remember that nice lady that came and taught us how to take care of a train Buddy?  That helped a lot!  When school started up, you'd take turns walking Buddy across the street to Ray's for the day.  That was a huge help for those first few years.  Then when the Covid pandemic hit, Dad worked from home, so Buddy was always with someone.  Now Buddy and Abby are just fine staying home during school alone.  Abby and Buddy have been roommates for 4 years now!  They both like to chase squirrels, bark are passing dogs and nap.  So, today is Buddy's haircut at MuddyPaws.  It's been in the 80s, so he's ready for a summer do...

Happy Easter! 2022

Hello dear family and friends,I stumbled across this blog I kept when I was home with the girls and Mila from 2011-2013.  What a gift it is to have this record of the girls' life.  I am reminded of the amazing growth Linnea and Sofia have made, and how many parts of their personalities now were present in their young selves.  They are still loving, kind, thoughtful, joyful people!  BUT, adolecence is no joke!  And there is plenty of conflict and struggle.  The girls are busy and have many pressures- anxieties from homework, activities, family responsibilities and Covid stress.  I find myself often struggling with a narrow view of life, just focusing on what's in front of me.  Thank you, Holy Spirit, for widening my view.  Thank you for showing me the arch of your presence in my life.  Please continue to lead me, challenge me, guide me and inspire me.  Come, Holy Spirit Come.
